When it comes to migrants, too often there is confusion between refugees, displaced persons, environmental refugees, displaced persons, shipwrecked or victims of trafficking or people trafficking. Our work intends to underline the difference between trafficked migrants and migrant smuggling. The numbers of both phenomena and the political and geopolitical consequences for a country like Italy where, in the last period, the arrivals of migrants has grown making management complex are underlined.
