Ormita
Jenalyn Ormita (she/her) is a PhD student in Psychology at the University of Toronto researching the cognitive aging experiences of African immigrant women in Canada and how sociocultural factors shape their brain health. She also works with The Immigrant Education Society (TIES) Centre for Immigrant Research as a Research Associate, researching the effects of work integration social enterprises on the integration of newcomers and BIPOC individuals in Alberta. Jenalyn is interested in researching cognition and brain health through an intersectional lens (e.g., race, gender, culture, and immigration).
