Ngei

I attribute my interest in migration and its complexities to a Forced Migration class I took during the third year of my undergraduate and the lecturer who taught it so passionately and delicately. Now, I continue to seek new knowledge to understand the complex factors that shape migration patterns and experiences, keen to further my capacity to engage in this space through research and knowledge production. For my first ever independent research I incorporated a range of migration-related topics including the integration of immigrants into the host society, belonging, the significance of existential movement to the migrant worker and home making. I am excited and open for opportunities to collaborate with other researchers in this field. When I am not working, I love spending time outdoors, traveling, painting or trying out new recipes in the kitchen.
