Jenna Nassiri is a social anthropologist and a lecturer in the Department of Anthropology at York University, where she earned her Ph.D. in 2025. Entering migration studies as a second-generation diasporic scholar, her research investigates the bodily, material, and affective impacts of transnational migration across generations. By utilizing life history methods, her work traces how memories, colonial histories, and diasporic identities are actively negotiated and embodied over time. In addition to her academic research, she serve as a co-editor for the International Organization for Migration’s Migration Policy Practice.
