Saloua Berdai Chaouni is a transdisciplinary researcher at the Society and Ageing Research Lab at Vrije Universiteit Brussels and a senior researcher and lecturer at Karel de Grote University College. Recognized as a pioneer in addressing issues at the intersections of aging, migration, and care, she has developed innovative approaches, contributed to policy guidelines, and led initiatives promoting equitable care for marginalized and racialized (older) populations. Her current research focuses on older migrants, equitable aging and dementia care, racism’s health impact in midlife, and the decoloniality of research and care.
