Ahmet Celikten is a doctoral researcher in migration studies at the Institute for Migration Research and Intercultural Studies (IMIS), University of Osnabrück, where he is affiliated with the Collaborative Research Centre SFB 1604 Production of Migration (Project A3). An interdisciplinary social scientist, his current research examines how academic and educational knowledge contribute to the (co-)production of migration-related categories and migrantized figures in Germany and Turkey. His broader research interests include reflexive migration research, categories of migration, racism, discrimination, inclusion and exclusion, knowledge production, politicization, democracy, discourse analysis, text-as-data methods, and mixed-methods research. He previously studied Political Science, European Studies, and Sociology in Ankara, Istanbul, and Berlin.
