Presently working as an Assistant professor of Geography at North Bengal St. Xavier's College. My PhD work is based on 400 sample to identified the vulnerable situation of informal migrant labourers in the host areas. The seed of episodic movement is bloomed in the eventual event of internal migration. The key purpose was to highlight the motivation to take migration decision in different ecological niche. How neoliberal globalised economy encourages the migration process and gives impact on the precarity nature of the informal labourers are also discussed. Towards the journey migration as problem to salutation, this work also provides deeply entrenched in the prevailing policy language of the host area. Worked as a Research Assistant in the project “Carrying Capacity of Teesta Basin, Sikkim” at NBU, sponsored by the Ministry of Environment and Forest, Govt. of India during 2002 to 2004 . Presented paper in different institutes like Social Science BAHA, Kathmandu, Department of Development Studies, RGNIYD, collaboration with The Commonwealth, UNESCO-MGIEP, UNICEF, UNV, ILO and IOM. Indian Social Science and Humanities Congress 2018, 4th International Conference. Organised by Asutosh College, Kolkata. Conference Organised by Commission of Human Rights, IUAES, ICHR, ICMR, Anthropological Survey of India and West Bengal State University, Panjab University, Department of Geography and Applied Geography, NBU, 2023. Co-chairperson in the technical session seven for the same seminar. • Attended different Faculty Development Programme, organised by All India Association for Christian Higher Education, New Delhi, North Bengal University, Kolkata University etc. Participate as a resource person, guest lecturer in academic, social interactive platforms.
