Dr. Mohammad Morad is currently a Professor in the Department of Sociology at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Sylhet, Bangladesh. He completed his PhD from the University of Padova, Italy, which included a visiting period at the University of Leeds, UK, supported by an Italian doctoral scholarship. He was also a recipient of the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship (Category A), enabling him to pursue a second Master’s degree in European Master in Migration and Intercultural Relations at the University of Oldenburg (Germany), the University of Stavanger (Norway), and the University of Nova Gorica (Slovenia). His research interests encompass international migration, migrant labor, transnationalism, diaspora, refugees, and intra-EU mobility. In this regard, he has conducted extensive fieldwork in Italy, Germany, Slovenia, the United Kingdom, and Bangladesh. His work has been published in leading peer-reviewed international journals, including Population, Space and Place, The British Journal of Sociology, International Sociology, International Migration, and Ethnic and Racial Studies.
