Theoni Spathi, Criminologist/Researcher (MSc) (female) holds two bachelor degrees, (BA in Busi-ness Economics and Finance, BA in Law), along with two Masters of Science degrees in the field of Criminology (MSc in Crime Science, and MSc in Forensic Science and Criminal Justice). Currently she is a PhD candidate in the Law Faculty of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She is a senior research associate with CERTH-ITI and has previously worked in several European Fund-ed Programs as a research associate in the Centre for Security Studies (KEMEA), in the Special Ac-count for Research Grants and in Organisation Against Drugs as well as she has the ownership of a family founded company. She has participated as chair/lecturer to several national and European criminological conferences, and she has published both online and offline few research papers and articles, based on cyber criminology. Her main research interests include online crime and criminal behaviour, cyber-prevention, and detection techniques, as well as migration studies, while since 2018 has participated in several Fight Against Crime & Terror (FCT), Border and External Security (BES) and Migration and Security projects for European Programmes, both as team member and as project manager.
